People with fibromyalgia share their stories

Thirteen years ago, Linda Horton was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Linda enjoys being out in nature and she cross-stitches whenever she is able. With her family’s support, she maintains a positive attitude and faith in God. She believes that people with FM must educate themselves and accept the fact that they have a chronic illness.

“I’ve changed the way I do things and I don’t feel guilty about not mopping the floor three times a week. It is okay.”

Linda believes in taking it one day at a time.

Elizabeth Tully enjoys beings with her dogs, music and going for walks. After her 10-year-old daughter was born, she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Although FM has limited her activities, she works as a mail carrier, goes out for dinner and takes trips. She schedules time for prayer and working out on the treadmill. She attends a small church and lives by the motto “Don’t give in; don’t give out; don’t give up.”
