New Hope for Fibromyalgia: Research Updates Symposium FMAH will host a day-long symposium on Saturday, September 25. FMAH will bring two renowned physician researchers to Houston. Andrew Holman, M.D. and Patrick Wood, M.D., will serve as keynote speakers at the Fibromyalgia Association of Houston’s New Hope for Fibromyalgia: Research Updates Symposium this fall at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Houston River Oaks, 2712 Southwest Freeway (Kirby exit) in Houston, Texas 77098. Holman is an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of Washington in the Division of Rheumatology and a current member of the advisory board of the National Fibromyalgia Association (NFA), and Wood is a former Louisiana State University professor and head of LSU Fibromyalgia Research Department and Clinic and a current scientific advisor for the NFA. A registration form is online. The registration fee is $35 per attendee, which includes admission to the symposium and a hot lunch. Parking is free in the hotel garage. If you wish to spend Friday night at the hotel, rooms are available at a discounted rate. We will not have any vendors at our symposium, but we will have numerous FMAH items for sale.
